Skyraid.io features ten flyable aircraft inspired by real World War 2 warplanes, organized into a three-tier evolution tree. Every plane has its own personality — from the fragile but nimble Biplane that every pilot starts in, to the legendary fighters of the Tier 2 lineup. This database contains a dedicated page for each aircraft with its real-world history, in-game statistics, recommended playstyle, and the matchups it tends to win or lose. Use it as a reference between rounds or while planning your evolution path.
Every player begins as a Biplane. After collecting 500 XP from kills, ground targets, and XP orbs you are offered a one-time choice between the three Tier 1 specialists. Picking that path locks the two Tier 2 options that branch from it: choose Fighter and you can later evolve into either the Mustang or the Spitfire; choose Bomber and you unlock the Fortress or Stuka; choose Interceptor and you unlock the Lightning or Zero. Reaching Tier 2 takes another 3,000 XP after the first evolution, so the second pick rewards players who have already proven they can survive a few minutes in their Tier 1.
After Tier 2 there are no further evolutions, but every 1,500 XP earned in your Tier 2 plane offers a choice of attribute upgrade: extra Armor, more Attack Damage, more Max HP, or more Rocket Damage. Late-game pilots can stack five levels in any attribute, turning a fresh Mustang into a flying gun platform or a B-17 into a near-immortal flying brick. See the strategy guide for more on attribute prioritization.
